This Privacy Policy explains how Exequtech (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use Exequtools at exequtools.com (the “Site”). Exequtech (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the personal information described here, as that term is used in South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

In short: the calculators and document builders run entirely in your browser, so the numbers you type are not sent to us. The main way data is collected is through Google’s advertising and analytics, which we describe below.

The information we collect

Information you enter into the tools

Everything you type into a calculator, quote builder, invoice or purchase order stays on your device and is processed in your browser. We do not receive, store or have any access to it, and any PDF you generate is created locally on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Information collected automatically

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is requested — such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and the date and time. This is used to operate and secure the Site.
Advertising cookies and identifiers. We display ads through Google AdSense. Subject to your consent (see below), Google and its partners may set cookies and read device identifiers to serve and measure ads.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used — which pages people visit and how they move through it — so we can improve it. Subject to your consent this may set cookies or identifiers; where analytics storage is not granted, Google receives only aggregated, cookieless measurement.

We do not ask you to create an account, or operate contact or newsletter forms.

Cookies, advertising and analytics

We use Google AdSense to show advertising, which keeps the tools free, and Google Analytics 4 to measure how the Site is used. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to measure ad and site performance, and to prevent fraud.

We operate Google Consent Mode with region-based defaults. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage start switched off — no such cookies or personalisation occur until you accept them through our cookie banner. Elsewhere, where the law permits, they start switched on, and you can switch them off at any time by declining in the banner. Either way, you can change your choice whenever you like using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.

How we use information

To operate, maintain and secure the Site and diagnose technical problems.
To display advertising and understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used.
To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. Automatically collected data is shared only with the service providers that make the Site work — principally Google (advertising and analytics) and our hosting provider — and where required by law. These providers process data under their own terms; Google’s handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

International transfers

Google and our hosting provider may process data on servers outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, it is done subject to safeguards consistent with POPIA and the providers’ own compliance frameworks.

Your rights under POPIA

Subject to the Act, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. Because we collect very little that identifies you directly, we may not hold information capable of identifying you. To exercise a right, contact us at legal@exequtools.com.

Data retention

Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymised. Cookies persist for the periods set by Google, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.

Children

The Site is intended for tradespeople and businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
