Everything stays on your device

Nothing you type is uploaded — the purchase order and PDF are generated right in your browser. Double-check quantities and rates before sending; Sales Tax here is applied to the total.

Tip: keep a running purchase order number sequence and a clear delivery date. Listing your items in clear sections makes it easy to see where the cost goes.

Questions & answers

Everything you need to understand the solar purchase order.

What does the Solar Purchase Order builder do?

It creates a purchase order you send to a supplier to order solar equipment — panels, inverters, batteries, mounting and parts. List the items and quantities, set Tax/VAT, and download a branded PDF with a PO number, order date and required-by date.

How is a purchase order different from a quote or invoice?

A purchase order is addressed to your supplier and lists what you want to buy at their prices, so it leaves off your own markup. A quote or invoice is addressed to your customer and includes your markup. This tool drops the markup automatically in purchase-order mode.

Can I turn a quote into a purchase order?

Yes. Switch the document type to Purchase order and your line items carry over — handy for ordering exactly what a job needs. Remember the PO goes to your supplier, so update the recipient details and prices to the supplier’s.

Does the PO include a required-by date?

Yes. Set the order date and a “deliver within” number of days, and the PDF shows the required-by date so the supplier knows your deadline. The PO number is included for them to quote on their delivery note and invoice.

Is my order data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser and the PDF is generated on your device — nothing is sent to a server. It also works offline once the page has loaded.
