Everything stays on your device

Nothing you type is uploaded — the invoice and PDF are generated right in your browser. Double-check quantities and rates before sending; Sales Tax here is applied to the marked-up total.

Tip: keep a running invoice number sequence and a clear due date. Listing your items in clear sections makes it easy to see where the cost goes.

Questions & answers

Everything you need to understand the solar invoice builder.

What does the Solar Invoice Builder do?

It turns your equipment and labor into a priced, professional invoice. List what you supplied and did, set your markup and Tax/VAT, add your banking details, and download a branded PDF to send the client — with the amount due and payment terms shown.

Can I create an invoice from a quote?

Yes. Switch the document type from Quote to Invoice at the top and every line item, client and business detail carries straight over — you can then adjust anything before downloading. The tool defaults to Invoice on this page, but you can flip it either way.

How is the amount due worked out?

Each line is quantity × unit price. Equipment and labor make a subtotal, your markup is added on top, and Tax/VAT is applied to the marked-up figure. The result is the amount due, shown clearly at the foot of the invoice.

Where do my banking details appear?

Invoices include a Payment details field for your bank, account and reference. Whatever you enter there is printed in a Payment details block on the PDF so the client knows exactly how to pay.

Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything you type stays in your browser and the PDF is generated on your own device — nothing is sent to a server. It also works offline once the page has loaded.
